Participants will learn about the different strategies that can be used to make math more relatable and approachable, such as connecting math to real-world problems, using visuals and hands-on activities, making math fun and playful, encouraging students to make mistakes, and praising effort over just getting the right answer. They will also have the opportunity to practice using these strategies in their own classrooms.
